ABOUT MEADRIANA PIÑAHello there! I am a graduate student in Geology in the Division of Geological and Planetary Sciences at the California Institute of Technology from México. My research focuses to solve problems related to the evolution of plate boundaries and the analysis of oceanic basins using geophysical and geochemical techniques. I completed my B.S. (with highest honors) in Geology at the University of Sonora, México in 2020 and my M.Sc. in Geology at the California Institute of Technology on 2023. For my B.S. thesis I was awarded with the Francisco Medina Martinez prize granted by the Mexican Geophysical Union for the best Earth and Planetary Sciences bachelor's thesis in Mexico in 2020.
